Mayfest

Sunrise Waldorf School celebrates Mayfest on the first Saturday of May every year. Mayfest is a joyful festival where each grade school class performs a dance around the maypole for the school community in celebration of Mayday. Our Mayfest also includes healthy organic food, children's games, a Mother's Day obstacle course, crafts, tug-of-war and more.
The ECE children celebrate Mayday in their classrooms during the weeks around the festival. The kindergartens perform a dance around a smaller maypole for the parents of those classes.
